FEED BACK ON ROUGH CUT !

Today we received the feedback sheet on our title sequence which was filled in by the different groups in the class and we were able to make the adequate corrections to the title sequence.

ROUGH CUT FOR TITLE SEQUENCE

This is the rough cut for my title sequence that was screened in class.

SHAUN'S BLOG FEEDBACK

Today we received some feedback from Shaun our teacher regarding our blogs and what grade the blogs are on. He said that my blog was at a C grade and if I needed to push the grade up I should reduce the pictures and add more writing because myt blog lacked enough written work and there were too much irrelevant pictures on it. I reduced the pictures and only left the relevant ones, I also explained the pictures and the procedures of how I did the things on there because before it was just pictures and no explanation.

He also said that I needed to increase the length of my title sequence analysis for a better grade because they were too short. I added more analysis to 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Creep" title sequence.

I also decided to upload the rough cut for my title sequence, feedback from teacher and others and possible improvements.

STORYBOARD ANIMATICS

This is the animatics I created of my film's storyboard. It is the order in which the title sequence will be shot and the final sequence will be.

TYPOGRAPHY IDEAS

                                                      FEAST OF FLESH

This font  has a theme of horror and that is why I considered it but I want the font to foreshadow what the film will contain and this font does not because it is a zombie film and it will have gory scenes but this font is not gory enough to be used in the title sequence.

ZOMBIEFIED

Like the name of the font it fits the name of the film. It is a horror themed font but it is like a rough font and not what I wanted so I didn't use it.

COLD NIGHT FOR ALLIGATORS

After careful consideration I finally decided to chose this font "cold night for alligators" because it has this drippy bloody gory feel and that was what I was going for. It will go well with the genre of my film and it is a theme on its own because it describes the sub genre, it will foreshadow the goriness of the film.

                                     
All the fonts I considered have a horror feel to it but I wasn't just going for a horror feel but a font that will be a theme in my film.

LEANNE'S COMMENT VIDEO ON MY BLOG

There were good comments on my blog, she said that the blog was up to date but there are something on the blog that does not really need to be on the blog like audience notes because they are not relevant to the course work but I should use the knowledge of it through out the work.

She said that the zombieland analysis was really good and there was a good use of media language but I should up lines between them because when it comes on blogger it is quite difficult to notice the paragraphs. I have corrected that and I added extra lines to the title analysis for better presentation.

She said that the homework is good and the notes for the title sequence Seven is good and that it relates to the type of title sequence i'm doing. She also said that the Dawn of the Dead title sequence analysis is good and there were really good use of media language, however, I should put the lines to indicate paragraphs which I have already done.

She said to get a higher mark when I analyse a title sequence I should say how it influences my own title sequence i.e stylistic ideas or content of the sequence.

Good diary entry, however it should be be about my decisions on the title sequence and how it fits with the film industry.

20 points at this point is really good, its well organised, and of a good standard. I have corrected all the mistakes that were on the blog and I have keep the diary entry up to date.

CIVILDEAD FEEDBACKS

The feedback were ok!, not what I expected because I put a lot of hard work and thought to by project and taught I deserved a better star rank but I still take the criticism to heart and now I know what to do to improve by presentation.
overall the feedback was relatively the same and they said that the narrative was not very clear but the idea was good.

Their comment was that the budget income was too low and that we needed to increase the budget because of the type of film we are making and because the people we casted to play the characters are big in the film industry and will demand a big pay.
The cast was good because it will appeal to a variety of audiences.
Overall I think that the film presentation on prezi and the actual pitch in class was good and I worked hard at it.
