HOW DID YOU ATTRACT/ADDRESS YOUR AUDIENCE?
EVALUATION 6
I adressed the audience by asking for audience input during the early stages of production. I handed out questionnaires asking the audience how they felt about the mane of the film, the music used in the title sequence, the font used and how they felt overall about the sequence. This helped me make sure that every step I made would have a reflection on what the target audience want. this influenced the characters used and the setting of the title sequence. The target audience also influenced the newspaper because they can relate to it better if there was a headline relating to what they usually did, the school dance.
The target audience was attracted by the enigma created at the end of the title sequence after the blind panic scene and it goes to static. The fact that the characters were all in the age range of the target audience also attracted the target audience more to the sequence because it gave a feel of realism.
The target audience was pleased with the final production because they gave positive feed back saying they loved the music, the choice of font, the character and the setting especially the lab setting. They also liked the positioning of the scenes and how they came after the titles, they said it told them the story in a very fast tension building way and that made them want to see the sequence more. They loved the blind panic scene with the hand held camera because they couldn't understand exactly what the character was saying but could tell that the character was trying to warn them about the zombies and this creates enigma for the audience because they don't know exactly what the character is saying about the zombies and the scene cuts to static not revelling what happened to the character.
From the audience feedback, the only thing that was a bit unsuccessful was the sound volume. They said they loved the music but the sound was uneven.

CHANGES MADE FROM FEEDBACK !
After receiving the feedbacks I decided to make some changes to my title sequence based on the feedback I received.
The first criticism I got was that the Tv static should have lasted for a longer time and that the name of the film should have been over the static. I decide to make the static last longer but only the sound, I shortened the visuals and make the static sound over the name of the film.
The second criticism was that the green screen during the newspaper scene was actually green and there was no effect added to it. I rectified that mistake, I forgot to add the scene that I make on Adobe After Effect. I added it to the sequence which made it better.
The last criticism was that there was not enough material (shots) and that I needed to shoot more scenes and that in the lighter scene they couldn't hear what the person was saying. I increased the dialogue volume in that scene so that the audience could hear it better. I also went out and shot more scenes, the running scene and added it to the title sequence.
The audience response to my title sequence was good and there was a lot of positive feedback.
They said that the titles were really good and that it was a theme of its own and that added to the genre of the film. They also said that the choice of music and the cutting into the music was very good. The positioning of the shots and the order or credits was really good.
Overall, I feel that I did a good work and I make all the relevant corrections to the title sequence and I also posted it on social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Youtube to get a wider audience response and there was a lot of positive feedback and a few criticism.

SHAUN'S BLOG FEEDBACK
Today we received some feedback from Shaun our teacher regarding our blogs and what grade the blogs are on. He said that my blog was at a C grade and if I needed to push the grade up I should reduce the pictures and add more writing because myt blog lacked enough written work and there were too much irrelevant pictures on it. I reduced the pictures and only left the relevant ones, I also explained the pictures and the procedures of how I did the things on there because before it was just pictures and no explanation.
He also said that I needed to increase the length of my title sequence analysis for a better grade because they were too short. I added more analysis to 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Creep" title sequence.
I also decided to upload the rough cut for my title sequence, feedback from teacher and others and possible improvements.

After gathering information on people's opinion on my choice of song for the title sequence I then decided to use the first track because it had the most vote and I think it goes very well with idea for the title sequence and it has an action beat to it and that will add seriousness to the title sequence. The first track is has the fastest face and I need a fast paced soundtrack for my title sequence.

THURSDAY 24TH JANUARY 2013 (SOUND TRACKS)
SECOND SOUND TRACK
THIRD SOUND TRACK
FORTH SOUND TRACK
This sound track is okay for the genre of the film but it does not give the audience an element of tension and it is too normal like nothing has happened and it doesn't interprete the genre of the film so it might be a bit confusing for the audience to understand the film's genre in relative to the title sequence.
Today I had to look for a suitable sound track for my title sequence, add it to the rough cut of the title sequence and get audience opinion on them. I chose four sound tracks with the intension of using only one.
FIRST SOUND TRACK
FIRST SOUND TRACK
This soundtrack is fast paced and works well with the action part of the film. I got this track Audio network, a copyright free music website and it has a very strong opening.
SECOND SOUND TRACK
This soundtrack is not fast paced but it had a horror mystery tune to it that will create enigma for the audience. However it could create genre confusion as the track sounds a bit western and it will make the audience wonder what type of setting the film will be.
THIRD SOUND TRACK
This soundtrack is fast paced but it is an action comedy soundtrack and it can create confusion in for the audience as to the numerous genre of the film and this could result in misinterpretation of the film.

DIARY ENRTY 13
TUESDAY 22 JANUARY 2013 (EDITING THE TITILES AND SCENES)
After the effect had been added the color of the title faded into a blood like color and the title was like a blood drool unsteady effect.
I decided to create my titles on Final cut pro instead of importing them from photoshop because it was easier for me and I could easily add effects to them.
I used the text on Final cut pro, went to control and typed in what I wanted to be on the title sequence and I also chose the font and I could control the size of the font, the color and how it appeared on the screen.
The effect I added to the titles was bad film effect so it will have a shaky unsteady bloddy drool effect. This goes well with the subgenre of the film which is zombie. This helps the audience foreshadow that there might be gore scenes in the film. After the effect had been added the color of the title faded into a blood like color and the title was like a blood drool unsteady effect.
The last thing I did was to add the shoots that I had taken and in oder. I just imported the footage and I didn't add any effect to them because that was how I wanted them to be. However there were two footage that needed editing on Adobe aftereffects because they were done on green screens.
After this editing task I know know how to edit well on final cut pro and a minimum knowledge of adobe after effects and how to add background on scenes shoot on green screen. I now know how to add texts on final cut pro and what and how to add effects to certain footage imported.

GREEN SCREEN TUTORIAL
I needed to use green screen in my editing because I filmed the news report scene and the scientist scene in class using a green screen. I looked up how to use a green screen online and asked Shaun Grimley and Jack Hill for help because I was not very good at it and I kept making mistakes.
This is the tutorial video I found online.
After this tutorial I was finally able to add a background and effects on the scenes I shoot on a green screen.

DIARY ENTRY 12
DAY OF FILMING
Today I filmed the news report scene, the chasing scene and the scientist scene. I filmed the scientist and news report scene in class because I needed a background, I used the green screen to create a false background for the two scenes because I couldn't film in a real science lab or a real broadcasting studio.
This is a close up shot of the setting of the news report scene and this shows how the scene will be filmed with the two chairs and the green screen behind the chairs.
This is a picture of the news report scene and the camera shows how it will be when filming is over. Unfortunately the green screen was not wide enough and I was unable to get a wider one in time so that affected the scene.
This is a picture of the scientist scene. The scientist was closer to the green screen than the news casters because I wanted it to be like he is the only one there and that he is filming it himself.
